    Tindori, which is an Ivy Gourd, is an elongated oval fruit which is similar in taste to a crunchy cucumber, but with a slightly bitter aftertaste.

    Select tindori which is firm and pale green in colour. Avoid those with a shade of orange or red as this indicates it is overripe.

    Refreshing tindori is available year round from the Dominican Republic and India.
